■A Design Focused on Connection
This facility is designed around the theme of ""connecting and being connected,"" inspired by the historical significance of bridges in Ukima-Funado. Historically, Ukima-Funado was a river-surrounded area, which made life inconvenient for its residents due to limited transportation access. In the early Meiji period, a bridge was constructed with the donations of local people, enabling the residents to connect with more people and places. This ""bridge"" concept is symbolically integrated into the design, paying homage to Ukima-Funado's rich history.

The lounge features hammocks, hanging chairs, and a raised seating area, offering a tranquil space where you can relax as if on an island. This inviting environment naturally encourages interaction and fosters connections among residents.

■Location with Urban Access and Natural Surroundings
Neighbors Ukima‐Koen is just a 3-minute walk from JR Saikyo Line's Ukima-Funado Station, with a direct 17-minute train ride to Shinjuku, offering excellent access to the city. Despite its proximity to the station, the area is surrounded by the beautiful Ukima Park and Ukima Pond, providing a perfect blend of city convenience and nature.
