Social Apartment Ebisu – A tenant’s perspective. The Convenience of Living Near the Bustling City

Imagine there is a city that never sleeps, populated by people that never stop moving. A place so abundant with attractions that your eyes are given no chance for rest, only the option to wander. Imagine this city being the most populated city in the world. Imagine living in a walking proximity to the very heart of that city. A heart that beats through the night, one that beats with the music and laughter that spills out from every shop. A heart that beats with every siren, with every blinking neon sign, with each train that rumbles and reverberates as it disappears off to the next most lively suburb. That is the place where I live, a Social Apartment located so closely to the heart of Tokyo called Shibuya, it might as well be one of its arteries.This property that I live in is Social Apartment Ebisu. Figure 1: Ebisu Garden Place illuminated at night, only a 7-minute walk from the property. Social Apartment Ebisu is located conveniently between 3 major stations; Ebisu Station, Meguro Station and Nakameguro Station. With these 3 stations around, you have access to 8 different train lines that can pump you through Tokyo to your desired destination. The 3 stations are also some of the liveliest suburbs in Tokyo. Meguro being home to impressive office skyscrapers, Ebisu a place to spend a casual Sunday afternoon at a posh cafe or beer garden, or Nakameguro, a town so hip if you aren’t up to date on what’s cool, this place will push you to be. As someone who has previously lived an hour commute to all these places, living in Social Apartment Ebisu has completely changed my work and social lifestyle. Working in Shibuya, I have the option now to walk to my workplace for the first time. Although a 30-minute walk to my office, with a bicycle you can zip past through streets overtaking cars, making the commute within 10 to 15 minutes. Missing the last train is no longer a daunting thought at Social Apartment Ebisu. A night out in Shibuya can still mean a nice sobering walk home or a cheap taxi ride back. The JR Yamanote Line operates until 1:20am, an hour longer than all other train lines. No need to finish that last beer in a hurry while everyone else rushes in panic mode. Being so close to these spots means you’re able to pick and choose events, parties and gigs to attend without making the commitment to stay out until the first train. Keep in mind though, once your friends find out where you live, you no longer have the excuse to not attend that event on Saturday night, and pleas to crash at your place will be a regular deal. Figure 2: Sakura trees, taken a 2-minute walk from the property at Meguro river. The community at the property is as vibrant as the city it is located in. Reflecting the multicultural vibe of Ebisu with many expat workers living in the area, a third of the tenants at Social Apartment Ebisu are international. Many of the Japanese residents are also able to speak English, and if you come on down to the lounge after 8pm you’re bound to find an active bunch to share a meal or drink with. Once a week, residents like to get together and go out for a bite or stroll. I personally go to Nakameguro with some of my housemates quite regularly, and there’s never a shortage of bars and restaurants around the area to choose from. We tend to eat different ethnic foods every week, something you shouldn’t get used to as it’s quite the luxury. There are a total of 36 people living in the property, which is quite a small number for a Social Apartment, but with the community being friendly and active there’s rarely a boring period. Many of the residents like to hold parties and get-togethers with their friends from outside of the property as well. Being in a prime location in the city, it’s a great place to invite your friends and hold a barbecue on the rooftop in the summer or a cozy dinner party in the lounge for the winter. 【Event Report】Neighbors Inokashira-Koen WELCOME PARTY！

Just near Chuo Line and Keio Inokashira line stations at Kichijouji, our latest property Neighbors Inokashira-Koen (Opened May 2019) recently kicked off their new life with a welcome party for the new residents! The welcome party was held at the central place of life at Neighbors Inokashira-Koen, the lounge. Residents took on a central by offering to cook for everyone, with a surprising talent to the delight of fellow residents. Check out these two who were the chefs behind these amazing meals. Who can say no to these guys? Apparently, they had prepared since the previous night! So kind! Social Apartment has a spacious kitchen with plenty of brand appliances and even a convection oven for anyone who likes to cook!Let’s take a peek at the delicious dishes that they came up with for the party! Acqua Pazza in a hot plate！How creative! Some grilled dishes from the oven too! They even made some fresh fish. This roast beef looks like it was served at a restaurant! Individual pot pies using Le Creuset ware! These dishes wouldn’t lose out even to a pro chef, it’s obvious how excited they were to welcome everyone!Just as everything came to place everyone gathered at the long table. Hanging out with old and new friends, it was easy to have a good time when everyone lives together. Chowing down and having a good time. The kitchen is open and facing the lounge so it’s easy to be a part of the fun. People hanging out on the terrace off of the lounge. Looks fun surrounded by those trees. They had their own set up at the terrace too… Someone brought a smoker for some smoked cheese and even smoked Gyouza dumplings!The party went on ’til after sunset when it was time for dessert. Homemade apple pie! Time flies when you’re having fun and before we realized it, it was already dark out! Lots of delicious stuff to eat and lots of fun conversation with new friends, this is the perfect start to a new life! It looks like everyone had a great time.At Neighbors Inokashira-Koen everyone is from a different background. There are people in the IT industry, music biz, travelers and campers-you are sure to feel comfortable as yourself and welcome here with plenty of excitement. Discover the Convenience and Vibrant Nature of Living in Oizumigakuen

Hey, my name is Rana from the Sales team! I recently became the staff in charge of our Social Apartment Oizumigakuen. I took a day outing to better understand the area so let me share a peak at what living in Oizumigakuen offers. If you have never heard of Oizumigakuen then you are missing out. One of Tokyo’s best ranked places to live, Oizumigakuen offers not only beautiful and abundant nature but also convenient access to the center of the city, just 16 minutes to Ikebukuro station by train. First, Oizumigakuen station gives you access to Ikebukuro in 16 minutes, Shinjuku in 26 minutes, and Shibuya in 33 minutes. While the train is convenient enough, there are also over 1000 buses that run through the area allowing easy avenue to anywhere that the train doesn’t go directly. There are also plenty of bicycle parking spaces around the station for local excursions. Out the North exit you will come face to face with some of Oizumigakuen’s interesting culture and history. Astro Boy will be there to welcome you at the Anime Gate. Oizumigakuen is actually home to Toei Animation Studios and is known as the birthplace of Japanese Anime. Everything from old school Ranma ½ to the infamous One Piece is brought to life right here! Anybody know Tomorrow’s Joe (Ashita no Joe)? Anime aside, the Toei Filming Studio’s are also close by which is needless to say exciting for any film fan. Especially since T-JOY Seibu Oizumi exhibits a 9-screen cinema to enjoy the latest films on the big screen right next to where some of them were produced! Throughout the station vicinity there are various stores and shopping centers. On the North side, Grand Emio, the opposite side Yumeria Fuente and more provide you with all your fashion, food and other needs. (Yummy Lunch at To The Herbs at Yumeria Fuente) At Yumeria Fuente there is also a Starbucks, and for those late nights a large grocery store open until 1AM. Of course there are also closer grocery stores by Social Apartment Oizumigakuen so you have plenty of choices. Just a short walk from the station there is also Oak Plaza which has fitness gym JOYFIT, and a Daiso as well as other stores. From the station it takes about a 15 minute walk to Social Apartment Oizumigakuen. Or you could use the bus which will get you there in just 5 minutes. With buses every 5 minutes or so the bus stop just 2 minutes from the property is extremely convenient. You can even directly access the ever popular Kichijouji and Asagaya from the bus stop. (Kitazono Bus Stop, just 2 minutes from Social Apartment Oizumigakuen) In addition to the access, Oizumigakuen is well known for its nature. Over 55 acres, Shakuji Park is one of the largest parks in all of Tokyo following Ueno Park. For sports enthusiasts you can find tennis courts, basketball courts and even a baseball and soccer field here! (Golfers can use the driving range next to the property!) Nature lovers will not be disappointed, as you enter the park you will find yourself surrounded by a vibrant forest famous for bird watching. Trek deeper, you may come upon one of the two large ponds. With the crisp air, greenery and peaceful ripples on the pond as ducks passed by, your worries will float away as relaxation takes over. The perfect spot to enjoy every season encompassed by the great outdoors away from the concrete jungle. There is plenty more to discover every time you visit the park, including the many small shrines and even the remains of Shakuji castle. As I walked from park towards the station I was greeted by a gorgeous sunset.
